Well, I couldn't wait. Had to finish it. Lately, with these batiks, my iron is getting more of a work out than it has in the last twenty years! As I mentioned in my early koi post, I was concerned about a few little tears in the paper, but have solved the issue by cropping them out! When in doubt, crop it out! Am sort of pleased with the outcome of my first "larger" batik piece.

Thanks, Everyone! I am enjoying batiking, but am still stumped with "presentation." I am still experimenting with papers, too. Will keep you all posted. Thanks again for your kind comments!
Oh Dee! Love your koi! Do you wax between every color over the whole painting? I use Japanese awagami unryu paper when I do batik. I have tried several papers but this is my favorite so far. It is very transparent and a little stronger than some but you can still get holes :0) Keep batiking!
