This litte piggy

Here's another quick sketch I did at Ruby's on Saturday.  I guess I was really trying to work on saving whites!  I am finding that for me the best way to get the whites is to have great darks!  I may have to try this one in watercolor batiks.

Oh this is a gorgeous painting Dee. Just love how you have captured the light.

I love the way these little piggies are back-lit. You did a great job - saving whites is one of the most frustrating things for me, too.

Thanks so much for stopping by, Ann and Linda. Yes, lights can be elusive, so I have been trying different ways to "capture" it. Some attempts to find it work, and some don't!

The dark does make the piggies pop! Very nice backlighting.
Our Caboose group is a great bunch of gals. Estelle is our Ruby, she keeps us all on our toes and is our hero. I think she will be 95 this month. She still goes to workshops and paints us under the table...wonderful! Art keeps you young!

Thank you, Jane. Not the greatest painting, but, yes, I am pleased with their "personality." Thanks for stopping by.
