A quick update ~ Check out new web site too!

Have not been on Blogs or Facebook since I had some should surgery in November.  While the should has healed pretty well, just taking the time to get back in my life was a tad jarring.  Am doing much beter, and hope to be back to the blog over time.  I love this community and have missed it!

My older son came for a visit, and saw the mess [read lack of space] and "bought" me a studio!  That is, he had me call my fix-it guy to fit out an unfinished basement space and insert a window [!].  NOw I have more than double the space I had been working in.  Now, with my new space, I need t ojustify by producing some great work!

Have continued teaching at Senior Centers, and recently taught an Encaustics Workshop that was well-received and fun to boot.  Would love to do more.

Have also put up a "legitimate" working website ... Dee Doyle Art  Pleaes check it out and let me know what you think!!

Here is one of my recent encaustics just to fill some space!

Hi Dee -

So nice to see you back! I'd wondered what happened to you, and missed your gorgeous art and inspiring posts!

I can totally relate to any impatience you have with regard to your shoulder surgery, as I've been there and done that! Shoulder surgery is very difficult to 'come back' from - the physical therapy is painful and shoulders TAKE TIME (& lots of effort) to heal properly. I know that if you keep up with your exercise and PT, you'll be back at it (and more), soon!

I love your new website, and I look forward to the day we move back West so I can attend one of your workshops! Hang in there with your recoup......!!

My best,
Linda

I wondered what had happened to you! Glad to hear that you are up and going again. What a wonderful son you have! Looks like you are off to a grand start in your new studio. I would love to take your encaustic class. Your new web site is great! Looks like life is good again for you! I am so glad.

Thanks so much for stopping by [in April!]. Have really been struggling to stay involved with my blog. Am getting back slowly, slowly. I see both of you are "active," and doing good things!

Am with you in spirit anyway, if not in the blogosphere.

Amd working hard on "elevating" my art and really upping my game. Hope to see results soon!
