Back to watercolor ... at least for the moment

Yesterday,  I painted with Ruby, almost niety-five years old, who will forget more than I will ever learn.  We did some tulips with a hard edge, then sprayed the other edge.  I have done a little of this before, but not enough.  It was good to laser focus on one aspect of painting in washes.  I intend to do more with watercolor than I have done lately.  So much to do and learn, and so little time!

I love these tulips, and it certainly works spraying an edge. Really like the soft focus side which makes you look straight at the harder edge.

These tulips are gorgeous, really , really love the blending of the colors and the looseness . And your last phrase is exactly what I often think, so much to do and so little time.

Thank you for your comments, Ladies. I enjoyed doing these tulips a,d will try to do some more washy flowers. Maybe that will coax spring to coming earlier. :-)

This came out beautifully, Dee! I'm going to try some more tulips myself. That Ruby's a real inspiration.
